Dear mom,
You deserve more than a small birthday post, so I decided to make another blog post just for you.
Now that I am in my second year of college, I have come to my senses in realizing who has been in my life since day one. As teenagers, we seem to go straight to the friends who have been there since “day one”. However, we forget about the one person who has literally been there since “day one”, our mothers.

I first want you to know how much I love you. I know I’m not around often enough to really put into words how much you mean to me. Even as a little girl, you were my hero. I looked up to you, and prayed that I could even be half the woman that you are, one day.

I want to thank you for being the one person I know I can go to for everything. There were times where I deserved for you not to speak to me, yet you made me learn the true value of having you as my mother. You continuously teach me how to grow each and every day. I am beyond thankful for the lessons you have taught me in my 19 years. Thank you for helping me reach my goals and supporting me for pursuing my dreams. Thank you for constantly being my number one fan in everything I do. I would not be at one of the top fashion schools in the world, pursuing my dreams, if it wasn’t for your love and support. Thank you.

Next, I want you to know how much I admire you. I admire how kindhearted, strong, and giving you are. You will drop anything in a heartbeat, to take care of the ones you love. I love how you consistently help others, over and over again, and never expect anything in return. You are the most hardworking woman I know. You work all day long, and yet still have the house clean, dinner is always on the table, and everyone is taken care of. I hope I will be even half the mom and wife that you are, one day.

I hope you have the best birthday ever, because you truly deserve it. I love you more than I can put into words mom.
Happy Birthday.
